Thank you for visiting this survey web page. This survey is part of my PhD study on the user acceptance of, and satisfaction with, the Event-driven Process Chain (EPC) notation. You have been recommended to me as an expert in process modelling using EPCs. Due to your experience, I would highly appreciate if you could help me in my PhD study by completing this survey.
Purpose of the research
The aim of my PhD study is to develop an understanding of the shortcomings and capabilities of the EPCs for process modelling as well as the factors that influence individual process modellers' continued use of EPCs.
This study is being conducted as part of a joint research project at the Business Process Management Group at Queensland University of Technology and the UQ Business School at The University of Queensland. If you would like to obtain further information about this project, please visit our web page www.bpm.fit.qut.edu.au/projects/acceptance/.
Participation and procedures
The data collection will be conducted through a Web-based survey, which has been designed for EPC users, which means that anyone that uses EPCs to create process models for whatever purpose is welcome and encouraged to participate.
Participation in this study is purely voluntary. If you do agree to participate, you can withdraw from participation at any time during the project without comment or penalty. Your decision to participate or withdraw will in no way impact upon your current or future relationship with QUT or UQ.
Your participation in this study will consist of completing the survey, which will take about fifteen (15) minutes.
Expected benefits and participation rewards
Your participation in this study is expected to lead to improvements in EPCs, which will potentially increase the ease with which you are able to complete your modelling tasks in the future.
As a token of my appreciation for your valuable time and assistance I would like to offer the following rewards to you and to your organization for participating in this survey:
