Business Process Management

The members of the BPM Group

The BPM (Business Process Management) group at QUT, lead by Prof. Michael Rosemann and Prof. Arthur ter Hofstede, is one of the fastest growing BPM research groups in the world with impressive academic achievements, significant third-party funded research projects and major industry linkages.

The BPM group is a vibrant research team that consists of many members who have a broad spectrum of expertise. The group consists of two program leaders, academic staff, senior research staff, adjunct professors, research students, reseach assistants and associated members. Each of our research students have a page dedicated to their research. Whenever an opportunity arises for new researchers to join the group, the details are posted to the opportunities section.

To keep people informed on our activities as a group, we have created a newsletter called "BPM Headlines". We also compile an annual report at the end of each year which highlights our achievements. All the editions of our newsletter and our annual reports can be found in the downloads section. The BPM group also holds regular seminars to discuss issues of interest. Both group members and people from industry regularly present at these seminars.

In September 2007, the BPM group had the honour of hosting the 5th International Conference on Business Process Management (BPM 2007). This was the first time that the BPM conference will be held outside of Europe.
